Continued Education Units

Our Continuing Education courses for CNAs and HHAs are designed to strengthen your skills, expand your knowledge, and keep you compliant with state requirements. Through engaging lessons and practical, real‑world training, you’ll stay up‑to‑date on best practices in patient care, safety, communication, and professionalism. Whether you’re renewing your certification or advancing your career, this course helps you deliver higher‑quality care with confidence.

CNA

​

Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) must complete 48 hours of in‑service or continuing education during each two‑year certification period. At least 12 CEUs must be completed in the first year, with the remaining 36 hours taken during the second year.

​

CNAs may complete up to 24 of the 48 required hours online through an approved computer‑based training program. The remaining 24 hours must be completed through an approved in‑person classroom course.

​

In addition to the CEU requirement, CNAs must also work a minimum of 8 hours in a certified facility within the two‑year renewal period to maintain active status.

HHA

​

Home Health Aides (HHAs) are required to complete 24 hours of in‑service training or continuing education during each two‑year certification period. HHAs must complete 12 hours per year, and these hours cannot be fulfilled through online CEU programs.

 

All training must be completed through approved, in‑person instruction.

*HHA Training will give you 26 CEUs 
*CPR Training will give you 4 CEUs
